As with the first volume of this series, this work provides the Connecticut researcher with thorough transcripts of the wills, inventories and distributions recorded in the Hartford District, originally one of four districts in the Colony. Unlike the first volume, cases involving matters other than probate are rarely included in this work. Thus the general index found in the first volume is not included in the the second, but there are both an estate index and a names index, which are very comprehensive. Over 1000 estate settlements are included in this volume.
