DUBLIN LIST OF ELECTORS FOR THE YEAR 1868. Compiled from the poll
books. Originally published 1868 in Dublin Ireland.
This useful reference work has the names of over 12,000 persons who
were eligible to vote in Dublin 1868. Not all of them were
residents of Dublin, many had business interests in the city. They
were all men, of course, since woman's suffrage was as yet unheard
of at that time. For each person, this source gives the full name,
street address, and even the person they voted for. Names are also
included for those who did not vote -- about 10 to 15% of the
total. If you had ancestors from Dublin, even if they left before
the date of this election be sure to check this source for
relatives who may have stayed behind.
