Written in 1895 and 1896, this publication contains the reminiscences and ancestry of James Kincaid, who was born in Burke Co. NC in 1819, the son of Andrew Kincaid and Sarah Dulin. The genealogy section goes back to John Kincaid, great grandfather of the author, who came from Ireland to NC about 1750. About half of the publication is devoted to descendants of the original immigrant, John Kincaid, while the second half contains the colorful reminiscences of the author's life.
