A very interesting collection of observations on Irish history and
culture, with many fascinating folk tales and beliefs. Includes a
great deal of information on antiquities as well. Covers counties
Kerry, Cork, Limerick and Waterford. Written from the English
perspective, it gives a good idea of their perception of Irish
peasantry from that country. This work will be of interest to the
genealogist who wants to build a strong historical background, and
rich local flavor, into his genealogy.
