This work describes the life and character of Sylvester Morris, born 23 September 1797 at Stafford CT. He married Susanna Weston and had eight children. There is a brief pedigree included, which traces Sylvester's paternal ancestry back six generations to Thomas Morris of Nazing, Essex County England, who came to New England ca. 1635. Pedigrees of maternal lines include the Weston, Converse and Washburn families.
