THE LINCOLN FAMILY AND BRANCHES, OF WAREHAM, MASS. By James Minor
Lincoln. 115 pages, originally published 1899 at Cambridge, Mass.
Reproduced on two microfiche, 1988.
This is the second edition of this work, which originally appeared
in 1885, but was substantially enlarged, updated and corrected with
this edition. This work traces the ancestors and descendants of
Captain Rufus Lincoln, who was born to Ichabod and Hannah (Codding)
Lincoln in 1751 at Taunton, Mass. His paternal ancestry goes back
to Thomas Lincoln "the Miller" who came to Hingham, Massachusetts
from Norfolk County, England, in 1635. The descendants of Rufus
Lincoln are traced through both male and female lines of descent,
down to 1898. Some of the allied lines include: Abbott, Bolles,
Bourne, Clyde, Cushing, Elliott, Ellis, Field, Godfrey, Handy,
Jones, Kinnicutt, Leonard, Robbins, Runk, Sharpless, Smith,
Willard, and Wing.
