Description:

This cabinet card is glossy white, front and back, .8mm thick. The edge is square, corners slightly rounded. There are photographer's imprints on front and back, in gilt ink. The front reads "The Notman Photographic Co. Limited, 4 Park St. Boston." The back has an ornate image with medals, and reads "Notman & Campbell, W. Notman, The Notman Photographic Co. Limited, 4 Park Street, Boston, Mass.; and 55 North Pearl St., Albany, N.Y.; Cambridge Mass.; New Haven, Conn.; and Easton, Pa.; Amherst, Mass.; Saratoga, N.Y.; Newport, R.I." An inscription in pencil reads "taken Sept. 1881, Mrs. John C. Maker." Dates on the medals and banners are 1862, 1867 and 1876.
